Motion 2 – List Privacy

During the organizing stage of the membership structure within the Open Source Initiative, the mailing list and discussions around it are to remain private. Once the initial structures are decided upon and put in place it is our intention that the list will become publicly archived.

Until such time as a vote of the members changes this rule, all discussions on discuss at members.opensource.org are conducted under the Chatham House Rule[1], namely that participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, nor means to access the discussion archives, may be revealed off-list. Members violating this rule are subject to censure and removal.
